Fitzgeralds Woodlands House Hotel & Spa is located just outside the beautiful village of Adare with its historic churches, situated in 44 acres of organic private grounds and landscaped gardens full of insta-worthy spots and beautiful backdrops for photographs.
The Fitzgerald Family has been creating magical weddings since 1983. And over the years we have played host to thousands of couples, helping them, and their families, to celebrate their special day, many of which are second generation weddings.

Our award-winning dedicated weddings team is led by David Fitzgerald and his sister, Elaina Fitzgerald, both of whom have been recognised for their excellence by couples and peers alike and have earned a reputation for going the extra mile to ensure that each and every couple enjoys the day of their dreams. David and Elaina will take care of you from your initial consultation right through to your dream day and post-wedding celebrations, keeping in regular personal contact, even if you are planning your wedding or renewal of vows ceremony from overseas.
We pride ourselves on doing things differently and with distinction. Both David and Elaina regularly travel overseas to research emerging wedding themes and trends, visiting wedding fairs and destinations to gather new ideas and inspiration.
We have a strict one wedding a day policy and our bespoke packages contain a generous range of items included as standard that most other hotels consider to be extras. No two weddings are ever the same, and your celebration will be unique to you, tailored to your exact wishes.
Our location on the edge of Adare, Ireland’s prettiest village, and close to Shannon Airport and Ireland’s motorway network linking us to Dublin, Galway and Cork means Fitzgeralds Woodlands House Hotel & Spa is ideal for destination weddings.
We are proud to use our own organic produce grown on our farm and in Mary’s Organic Garden throughout our menus, bringing an unrivalled level of quality to the table.
As well as our newly refurbished Fitzgerald Suite which can comfortably accommodate over 300 guests, we also have a number of other elegant spaces perfect for more intimate celebrations. The Fitzgerald Suite’s stunning décor takes its inspiration from Europe’s finest, iconic ballrooms resulting in the perfect marriage of traditional elegance with lavish contemporary style.

Our beautiful formal gardens, which we have been cultivating for 35 years, boast direct access to the Fitzgerald Suite, a patio area and romantic waterfall feature. Certified for civil ceremonies, it is ideal for outdoor weddings and drinks receptions, as well as summer evening barbeques.
And, should the weather take an unexpected turn for the worse, we always have a suite ready and waiting to effortlessly accommodate you and your guests.’ We also have a number of suites perfect for indoor ceremonies.
Revas Spa
The award-winning Revas Spa, which is located within our grounds, specialises in bridal hair, makeup and wedding day preparation. Also offering hen/bridal/couples spa escapes and hen party vendor.
Your guests are also extremely well looked after with 89 beautiful bedrooms and a host of facilities to make their stay both comfortable and enjoyable.

“From our first meeting with David, we had a great feeling and knew that this
would be the venue where we would have our wedding reception in. We got a
great understanding of the values of the Hotel and how the day would go for
us as a couple getting married here. After deciding this was going to be our
wedding venue we could always email or schedule a call with David to ask
questions even a year in advance. We had a few unusual requests which were
all welcomed with open arms. Leading up to our wedding everytime we were
at the hotel we always got a warm welcome from the staff, especially to Conor
at the hotel reception. The day itself ran so smoothly, the food was prompt
and delicious. All of our guests are still talking about the amazing food and of
course the dessert trolley was a showstopper. It was a lovely touch to have our
names on the dessert plates. The bar staff were excellent on the night.
The bridal suite was also such a fabulous room. We also had our day two
celebrations in the Treehouse, which was spectacular.
We had the best two days of our lives and that’s all thanks to David
and all the staff at the Woodlands.”
