Terms of Service

Last updated: 5 July 2026

1Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Weddings.ie ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all visitors, users, suppliers, venues, and others who access or use the Platform.

We may update these terms from time to time. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes indicates your acceptance of the revised terms.

2About Weddings.ie

Weddings.ie is an online wedding directory and planning platform that connects engaged couples with wedding venues and suppliers across the Republic of Ireland. We operate as a marketplace and information service only — we are not a wedding supplier, venue operator, or event planner.

We do not directly provide wedding services, nor do we endorse, verify, or guarantee the quality, availability, or pricing of any supplier or venue listed on the Platform. All contracts for wedding services are entered into directly between the couple and the supplier or venue.

3User accounts

To access certain features of the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep this information up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at info@weddings.ie if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms or engaged in fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful activity.

4Supplier listings

Suppliers and venues are responsible for ensuring that all information in their listings — including descriptions, pricing, availability, images, and contact details — is accurate, complete, and up to date. You agree to update your listing promptly whenever material details change.

We reserve the right to review, edit, or remove any listing content that we reasonably consider to be inaccurate, misleading, offensive, or in breach of these terms. We may also suspend or terminate listings where we receive credible complaints from couples or other users.

Important notice for couples

Weddings.ie is a directory platform, not a booking agent. We strongly advise all couples to verify supplier details, pricing, availability, and terms directly with the venue or supplier before entering into any contract or making a deposit. Always confirm details in writing.

5Subscription plans & payments

Weddings.ie offers three subscription tiers for suppliers and venues: Starter, Premium, and Featured. Full plan details, features, and pricing are available on our Pricing page.

All subscription payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise Stripe to charge the applicable subscription fees to your nominated payment method on a recurring basis (annually or every six months, depending on your selected billing interval).

Prices are quoted in Euro (€) and are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.

If a payment fails, we may attempt to retry the charge. If payment continues to fail, we reserve the right to downgrade or suspend your listing until payment is received.

6Cancellations & refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will continue to have access until that date.

If you are a new subscriber, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of your initial subscription during which you may cancel and receive a full refund, provided you have not made material use of the subscription features. To request a refund within this window, contact us at info@weddings.ie.

Beyond the 14-day initial window, subscription fees are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial months or unused periods, except where required by law.

7Couples & enquiries

Couples may use the Platform to browse suppliers, save favourites, create mood boards, manage a wedding budget, and submit enquiries. All planning tools and couple features are provided free of charge.

When you submit an enquiry through the Platform, your contact details are shared with the supplier or venue you have chosen so they can respond directly. We do not intermediate or guarantee responses.

By submitting an enquiry, you consent to the supplier or venue using your contact information to respond to your request. We recommend that you do not share sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary for the enquiry.

8Prohibited conduct

You agree not to use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Platform. Specifically, you must not:

  • Post false, misleading, or defamatory content in any listing, review, or enquiry.
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
  • Scrape, crawl, or otherwise collect data from the Platform without our prior written consent.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
  • Use the Platform to send unsolicited commercial communications (spam).
  • Circumvent any security measures or access restrictions on the Platform.
  • Harass, abuse, or discriminate against any other user of the Platform.

Breach of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and listing, and we reserve the right to report unlawful activity to the appropriate authorities.

9Intellectual property

All content on the Platform — including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, data compilations, and software — is the property of Weddings.ie or its content suppliers and is protected by Irish and international copyright and intellectual property laws.

When you upload images, videos, or other media to your listing or wedding website, you grant Weddings.ie a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the Platform for the purpose of operating and promoting the service. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to all content you upload, and that it does not infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party.

We reserve the right to remove any content that we believe infringes third-party rights or violates these terms, without prior notice.

10Data protection & GDPR

Weddings.ie is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Acts 1988–2018 of the Republic of Ireland.

We collect and process personal data only where we have a lawful basis to do so — such as performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, or your consent. For full details on what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights, please see our Privacy Policy.

As a data controller under Irish law, we are registered with the Data Protection Commission where required. If you have any questions about how we handle your data, or if you wish to exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, or objection, please contact us at info@weddings.ie.

11Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, Weddings.ie and its directors, employees, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in subscription fees in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms shall exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Irish law.

12Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time to reflect changes in law, our business practices, or the features we offer. For material changes, we will provide at least 14 days' notice by posting the updated terms on the Platform and, where appropriate, by email.

Minor or non-material changes may take effect immediately upon posting. We encourage you to review these terms periodically. Your continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13Governing law

These Terms of Service and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland.

Any legal proceedings arising out of or relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Ireland.
