The Fitzgerald Family has been creating magical weddings since 1983. And over the years we have played host to thousands of couples, helping them, and their families, to celebrate their special day, many of which are second generation weddings.
Our award-winning dedicated weddings team is led by David Fitzgerald and his sister, Elaina Fitzgerald, both of whom have been recognised for their excellence by couples and peers alike, as well as Weddings Online and Brides of Limerick, have earned a reputation for going the extra mile to ensure that each and every couple enjoys the day of their dreams. David and Elaina will take care of you from your initial consultation right through to your dream day and post-wedding celebrations, keeping in regular personal contact, even if you are planning your wedding or renewal of vows ceremony from overseas.
We pride ourselves on doing things differently and with distinction. Both David and Elaina regularly travel overseas to research emerging wedding themes and trends, visiting wedding fairs and destinations to gather new ideas and inspiration.
We have a strict one wedding a day policy and our bespoke packages contain a generous range of items included as standard that most other hotels consider to be extras. No two weddings are ever the same, and your celebration will be unique to you, tailored to your exact wishes.
Our location on the edge of Adare, Ireland’s prettiest village, and close to Shannon Airport and Ireland’s motorway network linking us to Dublin, Galway and Cork means Fitzgeralds Woodlands House Hotel & Spa is ideal for destination weddings.
We are proud to use our own organic produce grown on our farm and in Mary’s Organic Garden throughout our menus, bringing an unrivalled level of quality to the table.
As well as our newly refurbished Fitzgerald Suite which can comfortably accommodate over 300 guests, we also have a number of other elegant spaces perfect for more intimate celebrations. The Fitzgerald Suite’s stunning décor takes its inspiration from Europe’s finest, iconic ballrooms resulting in the perfect marriage of traditional elegance with lavish contemporary style.
Our beautiful gardens, complete with romantic waterfall feature, are certified for outdoor Civil Ceremonies and also provide a stunning backdrop for photographs. We also have a number of suites perfect for indoor ceremonies.
The award-winning Revas Spa, which is located within our grounds, specialises in bridal hair, makeup and wedding day preparation.
Your guests are also extremely well looked after with 89 beautiful bedrooms and a host of facilities to make their stay both comfortable and enjoyable.

At Fitzgeralds Woodlands House Hotel & Spa, we believe your wedding should be completely personal to you. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, we offer bespoke wedding packages, giving you the flexibility to create a celebration that suits your style, tastes and plans for the day.
Our bespoke wedding packages start from €89 per person for off-peak dates and €97 per person for peak dates, with a wonderful selection of options available to personalise your celebration.
Food is at the heart of a Woodlands wedding, and couples can create their own bespoke wedding menu from our extensive selection. We also offer a choice of specially curated menus, from our Pearl Menu through to our Diamond Menu, alongside beautiful vegan, vegetarian, coeliac and other special culinary experiences.
Your celebration can be made even more personal with a fantastic selection of arrival drinks and nibbles, cocktails, grazing tables, late-night food and our famous Dessert Trolley.
There are plenty of lovely inclusions too, with complimentary table décor, a menu tasting for the wedding couple, your first honeymoon night in our Bridal Suite, two complimentary bedrooms on your wedding night and special accommodation rates for your guests, all subject to applicable terms and minimum numbers.
For couples considering an off-peak celebration, additional benefits may also be available, including discounts of up to 10% on food and complimentary bubbly for your guests.
