Our ballroom with sparkling chandeliers and floor-to-ceiling windows create a magical atmosphere for your celebration. Each table is elegantly styled with Hannah Jane chairs and champagne tablecloths, complemented by Parisian silk floral centrepieces featuring peony roses, hydrangeas, ivy, eucalyptus, and lisianthus. All table décor is included within our wedding packages, ensuring a beautifully styled reception from the moment your guests enter the room. Upon arrival, guests are warmly welcomed and guided to their tables by a personalised and professionally printed table plan included in all packages.
Dining is a highlight of every Newpark Hotel wedding. Our menus, curated by award-winning Executive Chef Paul Murphy and Head Chef Nicky Glendon, feature the finest locally sourced ingredients combined with treasured recipes passed down through generations of the Flynn family. Signature dishes include Mark Flynn’s great-grandmother Dotty Flynn’s famous red cabbage and traditional brown bread. Special touches such as elegant cloche service for the top table or champagne sorbet theatrically topped up with extra champagne tableside create memorable moments for couples and their guests alike.
Newpark Hotel offers 132 beautifully appointed guest bedrooms, allowing your loved ones to fully relax and enjoy the celebration. Couples enjoy a complimentary overnight stay in our bridal suite on the night of their reception. Overlooking the hotel’s scenic grounds and featuring a private hot tub on the suite's balcony, it provides the perfect space to unwind after your celebrations. “We recently had our wedding reception at The Newpark Hotel, Kilkenny, and we truly couldn’t have chosen a more perfect venue for our wedding day. From the moment we first visited, we knew it was somewhere special - and it exceeded every expectation. The food was absolutely incredible. So many of our guests are still talking about it 3 weeks later! Every course was beautifully presented and tasted even better than we had remembered from our tasting session. The wedding team, especially our wedding co-ordinator Mary, was an absolute dream to work with from start to finish. Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming, but they made the whole process smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free. Nothing was ever a problem -no request too big or too small. They were always responsive, calm, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. We also had a large guest list, and the venue handled it effortlessly. Everything ran seamlessly! The staff in the hotel were fantastic from reception to bar staff to waiting staff and housekeeping staff...everyone was so friendly, helpful and welcoming. One of the owners of the hotel even went out of his way to visit us at the top table before our meal and introduce himself and check that we were happy with how everything was going. Special mention for Siobhan, also who was the manager looking after us on the day. Siobhan had shown us around on our first visit to the wedding showcase two years previously which led to us booking our wedding with the hotel. She is amazing and ensured that everything was perfect for us on the day! If you’re looking for a venue that combines exceptional service, outstanding food, and a team who truly care, this is the place for you.
