There’s a moment, just after you pass through the gates, when the outside world seems to disappear.
Beyond them lies 100 acres of mature woodland, sweeping manicured lawns and a beautiful private lake, with a secluded stretch of the River Moy just across the road. It is a place made for wandering hand in hand, stealing a quiet moment together and finding those magical little corners that make the most beautiful wedding photographs.
At the heart of it all stands our 32-bedroom country house, where romance has been part of the story from the very beginning.
Built in 1876 by Uhtred Knox to win the hand of Agnes Knox in marriage, the house was quite literally created for love. Nearly 150 years later, its original character remains wonderfully intact, from the rich woodwork and beautiful old doors to the timber floors, fireplaces and grand staircase. Every room holds a little piece of its history, and over the generations, hundreds of couples have added their own love stories to it.
Perhaps that’s why we like to call it The Most Romantic House in Ireland.
For your wedding, the house becomes yours. With exclusive use of all 32 bedrooms, you can fill it with the people you love most and, for a little while, make this extraordinary place your own. Additional lodges on the estate mean there is room for even more friends and family to stay close by.
And your time here can be so much more than the wedding day itself. Spend the afternoon clay pigeon shooting, fishing on the estate, practising your swing on the driving range or meeting our magnificent birds of prey on a Hawk Walk. Slow things down with afternoon tea, escape to the spa, or enjoy some time in the pool and gym.
However you choose to spend it, there is a certain magic to having an entire country estate to yourselves.

Our inclusive wedding packages range from €125 to €145 per person, and we want to help you create a day that feels completely your own.
Whether you dream of saying I do beneath the open sky, surrounded by the grounds of the estate, or prefer the timeless romance of an indoor ceremony within the house, both indoor and outdoor civil ceremonies are available. Your drinks reception can also take place indoors or out — from celebrations on the lawns on a beautiful summer afternoon to cosy fireside gatherings inside the house.
For the evening celebrations, our function room has its own full private bar, allowing you and your guests to settle in, raise a glass and dance long into the night without ever having to leave your private celebration.
And when the last song has played, there’s no need for the magic to end.
For the night of your wedding, your guests receive an exclusive wedding accommodation rate, with one simple price across our bedrooms — whether they find themselves staying in a Superior Room, Deluxe Room, Family Room or one of our beautiful suites. For the newlyweds, our Wallpool Suite is complimentary, giving you your own little sanctuary at the end of an unforgettable day.
